Content & copyright

What we hold, under what terms, and how to raise a rights or attribution concern.

What we hold, and under what terms

We preserve historical material; we do not claim to own it. Copyright in the original documents and posts stays with their authors and rights-holders.

We attribute sources and preserve provenance. We do not alter the preserved record; where we add our own layers, we label them (see our note on machine-generated layers).

Think something shouldn’t be here, or is wrongly attributed?

Tell us — email the curator. We honour valid copyright and rights requests.

This is a plain-language notice for a research prototype, not legal advice. See also our privacy notice, content & copyright statement, preserved-vs-machine-generated note, and terms of use.
